Kids Got Talent Rules and Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria:
Youths are eligible to participate if they are/were in the custody of a facility or program participating in Performance-based Standards (PbS) between Jan. 15, 2017 and March 31, 2017. The submission must be recorded while the youth is in the custody of the facility or program. All participants must complete a PbS release form to be submitted with their entry below.

Contest Dates:
Begins 1/15/17 – Ends 3/31/17 – No submissions accepted after this date.

Performance Guidelines:
Language and Actions must be appropriate - nothing profane
Appropriate Clothing must be worn
Acts must not exceed 3 minutes
Group and Solo performances may enter
Performance may include but is not limited to:

  • Singing
  • Dancing
  • Spoken Word
  • Juggling/Acrobatic

Awards: The top scoring individual entry will be invited to perform at the 2017 PbS Awards Ceremony. Travel and one night hotel accommodations for the youth and a chaperone will be paid by PbS. If the winner is unable to travel their entry will be shown at the ceremony and the next runner up that is able to travel will be invited to perform.

The top scoring group entry will have their performance shown at the PbS awards ceremony.

All finalists entries will be featured in a weekly spotlight blog on the PbS webpage.
